Monica De Cecco is the Chef from Friuli. She studied at the Catering Institute of Aviano, then she deepened her culinary techniques with many professional experiences: international cuisine at the Savoja in London, mountain cuisine in Piancavallo (PN), sea cuisine in Venice. Monica has gained great experience also by managing the restaurant “Antichi Sapori” by the Como Lake with her husband Mario, from 2002 to 2016. Now she works for Osteria Villanova, finally back to her beloved Friuli with a great knowledge and always willing to test herself.


Mario Capano, passionate restaurateur, has always worked in Como with his family, and gained experience also in Venice, where he met Monica. Together in life and at work, they followed this path, starting from Como with the management of the Osteria “Antichi Sapori”, to Monica’s homeland. Mario has always taken care of the dining room, caring about the needs of his guests, proposing the right combinations of dishes, wines and handmade beers.
